Questions

Frequently asked

Do I have to use your planning team to book a venue?

No. Plenty of people rent the space and bring their own planner, or run it themselves. Our services are there if you want them, not bundled in. That said, we know these rooms better than anyone — even hosts who plan their own event often add day-of coordination so nobody in the family is chasing vendors on the morning of.

Can I bring my own caterer and vendors?

Yes — with two exceptions. You’re welcome to bring any vendors you choose for catering, florals, photography, music and everything else. Security and bartending must be booked through our approved partners. Security is required for every event and runs $250. BYOB is permitted as long as you’re using an approved bartender.

What’s included in a venue rental?

Our Blank Canvas package covers six hours of event time, all-day access for setup, ghost chairs, ten round tables and ten six-foot rectangles, a venue manager on site, and setup and breakdown including an hour after the event ends. Linens, catering, bar, florals and AV are separate — bring your own vendors or add them through us. Valet, cocktail tables and extra chairs are available as add-ons.

How far in advance should I book?

Weddings tend to book nine to eighteen months out, and peak Saturdays in spring and fall go first. Birthdays, showers and corporate events usually come together on much shorter notice — sometimes a few weeks. If your date is flexible, a Friday or Sunday opens up a lot more of the calendar and usually costs less. If your date is close, ask anyway. Cancellations happen and we don’t always list them.

What’s required to hold a date?

A 30% deposit and a signed contract. Nothing is held on a verbal hold — if someone else signs first, the date goes. The balance is split across scheduled payments leading up to the event, and we lay the whole schedule out in your proposal so there are no surprises.
